EnJobbed
October 30, 2002Alright, so …I’ve got a job.
After four months of looking for a job in the field in which I recieved my diploma, I have accepted reality and have gotten a job that has nothing to do with CS.
Now, don’t get me wrong, it is a real job. I will be working 32 hours a week at it. However, it’s…umm…weird.
The company that I’ll be working for (GC Services) has this product called Ip-Relay.com. Basically, it fascilitates communication between a person who is hearing impaired and someone who is not. The disabled person types, I read what they say, and then type what the hearing person says.
For $11.75 an hour, it’s worth it.
Plus, I’m hoping to land a paid internship at an educational software company (The Douglas Stewart Company) to do during the daytime hours of the week.
Oh yeah, did I mention when I’m working for GC? My hours are 2am - 10:30 am, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday.
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
