Fiberplast Leads To Shirts

June 30, 2003

Yesterday was a pretty good day. I didn’t actually play all that much, because I woke up pretty late and had my D&D game to run, but Amak sure was busy yesterday. I broke out a half-hour long macro for sampling, and am now swimming in Fiberplast, steel, and aluminum. I also got a wind-power generator and a mineral extractor up, so I’ll have even more aluminum when I get back into the game.

Those maintenence fees are harsh, though, especially for the power generator. Oh well…I’ll just have to be an excellent sales-fish.

I am definately going for Tailor, with (most likely) some Armorsmith and Merchant on the side. I am extremely enthused by this game. Now that I have a clear path, I’m ready to burn my way there. y0.

An Actual Weekend Off

June 30, 2003

Monday, and work again, jiggity jig.

I had, possibly, the best weekend I have had in months. I am so amazingly relaxed, and just generally happy. Playing Galaxies and hanging out with Katie all weekend was evidently just what the doctor ordered.

More than a bit tired today, but happy. And, I have this friday off for the 4th of July. Long weekend! w00t!

Huzzah!

This Goes Here and That Goes There

June 28, 2003

My name is Amak, and I don’t know what I want to do with my life. I enjoy crafting so much, but I cannot decide where to concentrate my efforts. I have derived nothing but pleasure from creating clothing, but I’ve also greatly enjoyed making armor…and weapons..and…”sigh”.

My father would be so ashamed.

I have advanced my engineering and surveying skills, and as I said, I’ve begun to enjoy crafting clothing. I think I am going to reach Master Artisan Status and then decide what I want to do. That goal, at least, I know I want to achieve.

I have not made very many connections in my new home, so I am thinking of joining an association. I have heard a great deal of The Imperial Order, a large organization that operates on Naboo. I cannot personally say that I have any great love for the Empire, but the resources that the Order has at their disposal is most formidable.

Evidently they’re not accepting new recruits right now, but they evidently will at some point soon. I’ll have to keep my aural cavities open.

My Name is Amak

June 26, 2003

Fresh from my shuttle ride down to the planet, I step from the shuttle port onto the soil of Naboo for the first time. My name is Amak, and I am Mon Calamari. My father taught me in the ways of the Artisan, and as most of my credits were tied up in merchandise that was lost in the freighter explosion, I am going to be on Naboo for a while.

No matter. My days of living with the extended family are over. I left home to seek my fortune, and Theed is just as good a place as any to find my way in the Galaxy.

The first thing I do off the shuttle is seek some training in Marksmanship. I am told that some of the creatures on this planet are very dangerous, and my skills with the Pistol are not what they could be.

That done, I did what I usually do when I enter a new city: I headed for the Cantina. Regrettably, it seemed mostly empty, except for a human and a wookie companionably sleeping off some lomin-ale.

Regretful that I wouldn’t be able to sample the local brew, I decided to set out to the outskirts of town and start some surveying. I’ll have to make credits somehow, and the dexterity of my hands is the best way I know.

Heh. At that point, Corbantis went down and I haven’t been able to log since. Evidently, they’re having some Oracle issues. “shrug”

I’ve been having a lovely evening with the girl anyway, and the night is still young….sort of.

They’re Still My Friends In The Dark

June 24, 2003

I’m in another training class.

This is the sequel to the inacom course I took about a month ago, this one is also about Dreamweaver.

All I knows is, I is very very tired.

phoo.

But, feeling pretty good.

Last night a bunch of folks came over to The Birdhouse, including Kristin, who I haven’t seen in many moons.

A good time was had by all, despite, or perhaps because of, the power outage.

Though, I like me my A/C.
